Baking and Biking in Support of Children in Need

In honour of Children in Need Bauder held a number of fun-filled activities and friendly competitions for members of staff at its head office in Ipswich last week that helped raise over £1,400 for the BBC’s UK charity.
  Since 1980 Children in Need has raised over £600 million to help change the lives of disabled children and young people in the UK, and last year alone managed to raise £49 million. Although Children in Need’s infamous mascot Pudsey Bear was not in attendance many of the Bauder staff got in the spirit of the day sporting Pudsey ears and onesies. 

All office staff were welcomed to work on the day with breakfast baps courtesy of Pudsey and his chefs, before the commencement of the ‘Spinathon’ cycling challenge with the goal of keeping two bikes running all day from 9am-5pm in order to raise £1,000. Over 30 members of staff participated in the all-day event successfully completing the challenge and clocking up an impressive 470 kilometres in the process.
 
In the afternoon employees took part in the Bauder Baker Off with elected Pudsey judges deciding the winning entry. Afterwards employees were able to replenish their calorie loss from the cycling by indulging in the many cakes brought in by staff, again with all donations going to Children in Need. This is the first time that Bauder had held this event at their office but with the resounding success the day brought it will most likely not be the last.
