Meeting our fellow patrons at CRASH forum

Bauder attended a forum this week where corporate patrons of the charity CRASH came together to hear about the successful projects that have been completed as a result of their patronage, and to discuss ideas for future fundraising.

CRASH patrons Beale & Co hosted the event in their London office, providing a space for attendees to share their experiences of working with CRASH, and to welcome a number of new patrons too.

Trisha Pickersgill from Rennie Grove Hospice Care joined Francesca Roberts, CEO of CRASH, for a Q&A session. Trisha spoke of the joy and precious memories that are being created in the welcoming and peaceful spaces created at the hospice.

We are delighted with the results of our redevelopment project. The bright, modern and flexible spaces that have been created will enable us to deliver a wider range of services for more local people with life-limiting illness and their families in a much more welcoming and comfortable environment. We are very grateful to CRASH and everyone else involved in the project who worked so well together to produce such a successful outcome.
Trisha Pickersgill, Director of Finance & Facilities at Rennie Grove Hospice Care

Francesca explained that an integral part of the application process to CRASH is education on the services available. Funding is a small part of the support that CRASH can provide.  Experienced project managers, development knowledge, construction legislation guidance, and market knowledge can completely change the course of the project, ensuring sustainable, futureproof buildings that are fit for purpose are delivered.

Sofia Barbosa, Head of Development at Emmaus South Lambeth, gave us an insight into the work carried out across their sites and the challenges and stigmas faced by the staff and the companions who benefit from the services Emmaus provides. By offering a safe place to call home, and the opportunity to gain work skills through employment at the organisations various shops, Emmaus helps service users to rebuild their confidence and start their journey back to a life of independence.

Chia Oh of VolkerFitzpatrick also took to the stage to share some of the fundraising initiatives that they have run over the past couple of years raising incredible sums for CRASH and engaging with their employees and supply chain to boot.

Thank you to CRASH, Beale & Co and all the speakers for an inspiring morning.
