Bauder and CRASH team up to help Emmaus for Christmas

CRASH Patron, flat roof manufacturer Bauder Ltd helped raise over £550 and donate 125 wash bags to Emmaus Suffolk.

Emmaus Suffolk is a self-supporting homelessness charity that offers meaningful work and support for all ‘Companions’, as the former homeless people are known. Companions are able to stay as long as they wish at the facility but in return are asked to work in the community in a range of roles according to their skills, ability and interests.

Members of Bauder raised funds and collected donations throughout the company to make up washbags in aid of Emmaus Suffolk. The effort resulted in Bauder raising over £550 which enable them to donate 125 washbags to the hospice. In addition to the funds raised, two other local companies decided to join in, Waitrose (Futura Park, Ipswich) donating a number of boxes of chocolates and Savers Health & Beauty (Ipswich) donating 10 boxes of toothbrushes.

Andy Mackenzie, Managing Director of Bauder Ltd: “We are proud to collaborate with CRASH in helping fantastic charities such as Emmaus Suffolk. I am delighted that Bauder can have a positive impact on our community and help Emmaus reach out to people in need of help
