Bauder continues to fundraise throughout 2020
Bauder has been taking part in a variety of fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money for a number of different charities.
Product managers walk/ run 837 miles
In October, Bauder's product managers challenged themselves to walk or run the 837 mile journey that is Lands End to John O’Groats between them.
They undertook this at weekends, evenings and lunchtimes all in aid of raising money for the Walser Tanzania Charity who support children through school in rural Tanzania.
Susie Roddick, Chris Roddick's wife who is our green roof product manager, runs the charity and says: “We focus our support on the small rural community of Ifunda in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania. We have an educational sponsorship scheme supporting over 300 students through education and we fund local projects to benefit the community. There are no paid staff and all money raised goes directly to support our work in Ifunda.” At the start of November the product manager team confirmed they completed the challenge, even adding 250 miles onto the original target distance, and they raised over £500 for the charity.

In total, £635 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support who provide specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. They also look at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaign for better cancer care.
