When to specify...
When a high quality bitumen system is required, but site conditions prohibit the use of hot works, Airtech is an extremely effective torch-free bitumen membrane solution using hot air welding at the laps. It can be specified in both warm and cold roof design on all normal types of deck construction and is equally suited to either new build or refurbishment projects.

■□ 4mm thick, self-adhesive elastomeric bitumen cap sheet with hot air welding at the laps for a flame-free solution.
■□ Completely torch-free system.
■□ Able to withstand climatic extremes and temperature differences at the edges of ice and water; stable in extreme weather conditions when tested to the following European Standards; Cold bending test (EN 1109) and heat stability
test (EN 1110).

Our torch-free detail design specifically delivers secure safe application techniques in the vicinity of combustible construction materials located on, or connected to, the roof such as timber substrates or upstands; abutments to cladding, roof tiles, slates or thatch; or even debris such as dry leaf material that is at risk from ignition. The application methods meet NFRC Guidance Document 'Safe2Torch'.
