Improving competence and construction quality

Bauder teamed up with Construction Manager, the official magazine of the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB), to deliver a webinar on improving competence and quality within the construction sector. 

During the webinar Nigel Blacklock, Technical Director at Bauder, introduced the Code for Construction Code Product Information (CCPI), explaining the reason for its inception and reviewing the 11 steps to embracing the code.

Richard Miller, Head of Policy and Communications for the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), discussed the current thoughts on the various approaches to competency in the construction industry in his presentation 'Demonstrating and revalidating competency in construction—what does the future hold?'

Our special guest speaker was Alan McIntosh, Façade Engineer at Arup. Alan discussed the Burrell Collection in Glasgow and Lloyd's of London projects, he explained the approach Arup takes to ensure the client's requirements are met with both the quality and compliance at tender, design and installation stages of the project.
