Bauder has been appointed to design, supply and install flat roofing systems for public buildings by the LHC

What is LHC Procurement?

LHC is a leading, not-for-profit, public sector purchasing consortium that provides best value procurement solutions for the refurbishment and maintenance of social housing, schools and other public sector buildings in England, Wales and Scotland.

LHC offers public sector users of its frameworks technical and procurements expertise, added value and a share in the LHC surplus for bodies choosing to be members. LHC sets up framework arrangements for use by public sector organisations wishing to improve efficiency without compromising quality and in full compliance with EU, UK procurement rules and regulations.

Promoting sustainability and procurement and enhancing environmental, social and economic conditions are key considerations in the development of LHC frameworks. With over 50 years of technical experience and expertise in this field, you can be sure that LHC frameworks are second to none in terms of quality.

Frameworks

LHC’s Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) compliant frameworks are free-to-use and can be used by local authorities, social landlords and other public sector bodies to procure works, products and services for the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of social housing and public buildings.

Frameworks are umbrella agreements that set out the specification, quantity, quality, price and other requirements of building contracts. Suppliers compete through open competition to be appointed to a framework. Publicly funded bodies then access the suppliers that have successfully met the framework criteria by “calling off” individual contracts.

The Roofing Systems and Associated Works framework (RS4) allows local authorities, social landlords and other public sector bodies to source specialist suppliers for the design, supply and installation of traditional flat roofing and pitched roofing systems and associated works.

Fully OJEU compliant, the framework is suitable for all types of public sector refurbishment and new build projects, including multi occupancy residential buildings, schools, colleges, universities, NHS buildings and other public buildings.
